Colorado became the 38th state on August 1, 1876. On August 1, 2026, it turns 150, and Colorado Day BAZAAR is the celebration: a free, all-day festival in Commons Park, Denver, from 12 to 6 PM.
The event gathers 149 confirmed Colorado makers and 3 sponsor booths, a main stage of homegrown music headlined by Denver Chicano funk band Los Mocochetes, cultural performances, and 150-themed moments across the park. It is produced by Gum Pop Presents, the Denver events company behind Denver BAZAAR, which has supported more than 1,000 Colorado small businesses since 2015. The event is part of the statewide commemoration led by the America 250 - Colorado 150 Commission.

One of the best ways to celebrate Colorado's 150th birthday is by supporting the people who make our communities thrive. That's why we're proud to partner with Denver BAZAAR, where local makers, musicians and neighbors come together to celebrate the creativity and community spirit that define Colorado.Nathan Richie, Co-Chair, America 250 - Colorado 150 Commission
I'm biased, but I think this is the best free show you can see in Denver this year. It's a chance to get off your phone, dance a little, and talk to the Colorado makers in the Maker Village who still make things from scratch.Samantha Sandt, festival organizer, Denver BAZAAR
